Karabo Moroka dies of a heart attack!! Shame, a heart attack at her age? Am not surprised though, what with finding out she is HIV Positive, Angela’s pregnancy coupled with Khethiwe’s marriage to Khaphela?
Yeah, a lot has happened since I last updated the G-Spot.
I really felt heartbroken as she lay motionless in her coffin. Who would’ve thought, Karabo Moroka lying in a coffin, after discovering that she is HIV positive?? Apparently she got the disease from Tau, who got it from Anne.
Anne does not know her status yet but we are taken back to a scene where one of her old “customers” came to tell her of his status and asking her to check hers.
She did not bother as she thought; she couldn’t be possibly be infected with the virus.
Anyway, at this point I am thinking how brave the writers are for making Karabo, Ms Untouchable, and HIV Positive? We all thought it happened to everyone but the rich. Wow! At last Generations writers tackle real issues affecting South Africans.
We eventually get to remember that it is actually set in SA! I bet you also forgot that!!
Busi and Jack had to leave Johannesburg because they decided they wanted to be together and figured out they could not live happily ever after if surrounded by all of Jack’s mates, enemies and Busi’s friends always warning her about how Jack was toying with her feelings. Yeah we the viewers also got tired of that!!!
They therefore decided to relocate to China; apparently they (Chinese) are the experts when it comes to curing sleep walking disorders plus Jack can’t speak Chinese so it was a case of killing two birds with one stone. I really wish them all the happiness (GOOD RIDDANCE).
Sbusiso comes back to Joburg after discovering what Kenneth did to him, he shoots him right in front of the staff at Afri Media and later pleads self defence…the staff, after finding out why Sbusiso got THAT mad, all back Sbusiso’s story and he gets away with murder…. Poor Kenneth, not even 3 months on the soap and already he’s dead!!!
After everything the late Kenneth did to little Dineo, she is not at all bothered about his death. Since he left all his monies to her, and she feels indebted to Afri Media and Sbusiso somehow, she decides to plough SOME of the money back into Afri Media, provided that Sbusiso gives her a meaningful position. Sbuda agrees and Afri Media, but most importantly Sbusiso is back in action!!! Missed you Sbu!!!
Wow!! Dineo and Samuel are now an item…cute couple they make!!!
So Angela and Tumi decided to GO ALL THE WAY and ‘forgot” the little thing called protection…BIG MISTAKE... So now 13 or is she 14? Anyway, Angela, whatever her age, is pregnant and the family is in TOTAL SHOCK!!
Khaphela and Khethiwe are getting married and I’m thinking, damn!! What a good match!! Makes sense since they are co-owners of the Mogale mansion anyway!
It is at this point where I decide that it will take more than 1 writer to revive the Generations storyline…it is DEAD!! I then decided to stop with the wishful thinking and give you a true account of what happened in Generations:
I will summarize what happened in 2 weeks, in less than 10 lines!!!
The gang at the commune is always eating breakfast Isidingo style (each episode starts with breakfast at the Bula house) and making meaningless conversation, Karabo & Khethiwe are trying to make up, Kenneth is STILL trying to get his hands on Mzanzi online, Dineo is trying to prove that she has a brain, Tumisho is shagging Kenneth’s newly introduced daughter, Zamani & Jackie are still shy about their feelings, Angela is discovering boys, Cleo is being worked out of the soap so in a nutshell, that’s it!
Now somebody please pass me a sedative…I have a migraine from all the thinking I had to do for these damn writers.
By the way, how is it that Generations (7th) is rated higher than Isidingo (8th ) on TVSA? Typing error? I certainly hope so!
If your DSTV account is suspended, if your radio is broken, you have no money to buy a newspaper or better still if your TV Remote got lost while you had SABC 1 on & your TV’s child lock on then I guess you have no choice but to watch Generations on SABC 1, 20:00 on Weekdays!!
