I really didn't think of that but hey, they did good.
I have been missing out on a lot of what's happening currently but I will make a plan to give you guys a proper summary next week...for now I will just share my thoughts on what I've seen so far...yeah you guessed right,, just to relieve this guilt I'm feeling for neglecting my spot.
Menzi Ngubane's hot temper on Generations seems to be following him off screen as well. According to a report in the Sunday World, his wardrobe assistant is suing him after he allegedly assaulted her.
Well, when I saw the headline, I was like "Damn Menzi, you get hitched and all of a sudden you turn into a woman basher!". But then I read the article and thought, him throwing his slippers at her was actually nothing compared to what I might have done if I were in his shoes,.
Apparently they had a fight about him not being dressed in time to shoot his scenes (anybody know what a wardrobe assistant does? Do they have to actually help you put your clothes on or do they just give you what you need to wear for the scenes? Seriously, I don't know), he told her not to set foot in his dressing room again and then the fight happened because he caught her in his dressing room and asked her what she was doing there. So the holier-than-thou ex hooker got "raped" by her boyfriend, Jason, who has no idea why she sees it as rape. My thoughts on this issue might be seen as insensitive considering that I'm a woman but all I will say is that not everybody who watched that scene thinks that Cleo was raped.
I am not sure whether this can be credited to the horrible acting or whether it's because of the general "perception" we have about how we expect a woman to react when it is rape.
Perhaps Generations tried to use what happened in JZ's rape trial to educate the country that "freezing" is a normal reaction from a rape victim. Would love to hear what you guys thought of Cleo's rape scene....
Ntombi finally made my day and dumped Thomas Mazzi Mashaba! You guys know that I have always thought that was a bad idea. Poor Thomas was dumped KASI STYLE...and I was so happy when Ntombi told him nine-nine ukuthi "ANGISA KU FUNI"...
Shame, how many people still get told " I don't want you anymore" when being dumped? But I can't blame Ntombi for being so Brutally honest because she did try to do it subtly but Mr. Mashaba junior still went ahead to confront Sbusiso about the fact that Ntombi ain't over him...need I say more. Needless to say Ntombi went mad and then told him to keep his yucky sticky teenage hands to himself...
Thomas can't be so heartbroken though because it is clear that he still has the hots for his step mom, Dineo and I really can't wait for those two to act on their feelings...scandalicious!!
Ntombi, after dumping Mazzi so unceremoniously, later tried to rekindle her relationship with Sbusiso but Sbusiso became a typical man on finding that Ntombi had slept with Mazzi...I loved how he told her that he wasn't about to settle for Mazzi's "left overs"...he he...
I found that to be rich considering that he slept with Karabo...
Yes, Karabo and Sbusiso stole a moment between the sheets and that moment is on its way back to haunt them for a long time....Guys, you all know Sbusiso has been wanting this for a very long time!!! He was very disappointed when they broke up without Karabo giving it up and so he got what he wanted at last. Karabo however told him that the relationship can't continue and Sbuda went back to his drinking ways...I wish he'd get his life back in order...this is getting tiring.
Khaphela and Magda finally found their way into each other's arms (and beds by the looks of things), compliments of Khethiwe. She played Cupid and Magda all of a sudden discovered how much she "loved" Khaphela...we won't go into how absolutely ridiculous that was.
So Magda left Jacob and now Jacob, with his bitter ass comes to tell them that he is in fact HIV Positive and has infected Magda. Boo Magda for not using a condom, I hope Sbari used it during their love connexion meetings...
The new couple is now in despair...
Thandeka finally managed to get a job at Sista after pestering Dineo, who in turn pestered Kenneth until he agreed. The Mashaba's are a boring bunch of people and their inclusion in Generations is nonsensical. Dineo is great though, I love Katlego Danke....
The Zamani, Vukani and Ajax plot is boring me like hell and it is part of the reason why I don't watch so much...the thing is I don't understand what they are trying to achieve with that whole story line. Vukani is their father and he beats up Ajax and blackmails Zamani into giving him money.
Oh on another tip, I saw Zamani at the SAFTA's and he was looking good, way better than he does on Generations. I was getting worried because I used to like him a lot on Jam Alley and I didn't like the fact that he is so dull as Zamani.
He still irritates me with his protective antics over Ajax....
Anne/Jack & Kenneth, are another irritating bunch....somebody please get them to follow Cleo when she makes her grand exit.
