Mangi found a letter that Thato had written to Vusi when she was pregnant with him (Mangi). The letter suggested that Vusi is Mangi’s father. With Alex’s assistance, Mangi is trying to find out if there is any truth to this. Stan refuses to do a paternity test (much to Mangi’s irritation) and Thato does not even want to hear about it
Tino has come out of the coma after being shot by Sakhani (hostage drama) and losing a lot of blood. Shakira had heard him say something about Abigail when he woke up the first time; which Tino couldn’t recall at first. Tino later remembered that he had picked up from the conversation that Abigail had with Sakhani that there was some connection between Laqasha and Abigail.
This prompted Shakira to probe into this matter – asking Abigail all sort of questions about her dealings. Abigail seems to think that Shakira is harmless and is letting her in on her past shady dealings.
Morongwe is growing increasingly insecure about her relationship with Abigail . With Abigail threatening to go to the police with the fact that Morongwe shot Sakhani in cold blood, she has gotten Morongwe to be her assistant in her dealings. The fact that Alex is hot on Laqasha (or Abigail)’s heels makes thing increasingly uncomfortable for Morongwe.
JJ is trying to get umbelego done for Busi to get her to be part of the Zwane family. But before Umbeleko can be done, the Zwane’s have to Hlawula for Busi. Apparently the money for inhlawulo has to be paid to Stan since Thato got pregnant when she was still married. With Stan being away, Daniel is heading up the negotiations. He has been using this to punish the Zwanes for an undisclosed vendetta by demanding a huge amount of money from them. Thato managed to blackmail him to give him half of the inhlawulo money, by threatening to tell Nadia (Daniel's girlfriend) about the secrets from his past relationship.
To both (Thato and Daniel) their disappointment, the Zwanes demanded Busi’s umbilical cord before they could pay and because Thato “burnt it a long time ago”, they insist on paying the original R5000.00 they proposed as opposed to Daniel’s R20 000.00
