I'm not much of a dance fan and yes, it IS because I can't move to save my life but there has been so much noise and hype about SABC 1's So You Think You Can Dance so I decided to go and check out the Top 18 do their thing.

I was about to write a blog but remembered that our resident Choreographer, FEZA was all up in that Standard Bank Arena looking so glam that I didn't even recognize her, I decided to rather just share pics on this blog.

I must say though, it was really cool seeing so many different types of dance all in one episode.

Ashley and Kim
I so enjoyed this perfomance, what a way to kick off the show! Kim was outstanding for me!!!

Katlego and Elizma
I thought they did well...she looks so good with that chiskop.

Lee and Taekondwo
Ncoh!!!!! I loved these two!!!!!!!!!! Did they choose the outfits themselves? Oh man, they rocked!!

Nqaba and Tania
I don't care how bad he does but I'll be voting Nqaba in for as long as I can. Something about him screams "vote for me" and I'm gonna do just that kuze kuse!
I thought they were good...

Tanya and Alistor
I'm not a professional but something about these two was offish...something to do with her legs...oh well, what do I know about dancing anyway....

Tamara and Bathembu
To be quite honest, I expected more from them but all I saw was that shaking thing....aka crumping...
....and their choreagrapher? Would love to see him in action...he looked more like a mrapper than a dancer.

Thabiso and Louisa
Yeah yeah he's a professional but I thought David's comments were unwarranted. I didn't think these two were as bad as he described. Hope the public wasn't influenced by his comments.

Darren and Megan
Beautiful perfomance!! I think it's clear that Megan is going all the way to the finals. I loved her outfit

Blaze and Marise
Loved the Michael Jackson song they danced to....only remembered late that I was supposed to watch the dancing....

Okay, my only problem with the show is this whole thing of voting COUPLES out. They didn't come there as couples but with the way things are now, it's like your fate is in a stranger's hands, which is not cool. Would it be too much of a hassle if we voted based on individual perfomances?
I haven't seen the US Version so I'm wondering till when do they continue being voted out kanjena?

SADE is such a GREAT presenter!! She was looking real good too. Am a fan!

P.S.
FEZA and I were there in our TVSA UNIFORM

I enjoy the show also but the couple thing is going to work against so many good dancers because your partners faults becomes yours. But at least on the Tuesday shows they get judge individually.

IS SADE ENGAGED BECAUSE FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS SHE HAS A RING ON HER RING FINGER.

I agree with you on that one. theu should be judged individually and later be paired with the remaining ones. Until we have our final let say 6. Then they compete as individuals

Why would you be voted out if you are a great dancer and just because your partner suckes then you suffer?

That's not fair!!! In te US version you vote out an individual not a couple. Its currently on the Series channel, on tuesday i think....to be honest i enjoy it much more than the SA version...

Was Nigel there as a judge on Sat?

me too carion , he is good shame, but it is really not fair this couple thing. couple 1 was great i luv them (the guy is a good dancer, the gal tried ). the socks in the hand couple should be eliminated really

I do agree, the whole couple thing is not working out, the judges give individual results, so the couple votes must be eliminated, the auditions were done individually, but lets see what happens tomorrow night. Each couple must just go out there each week and do their best!!!!!

A boy and a girl will leave each week, not necessarily the couple that danced the weakest. Last week was just coincidence that the two who left were a couple. In the "dance for your lives" segment, the judges judge each contestant individually, this show is the exact same format as the American one.

It is only when when we get down to the top 10 I think that we start voting individually but right now there are still 18 people in the show which will be top 16 by tonight.

Irrespective of how a someone will let his/her partner down, don't stop voting for your fave in that pairing otherwise you'll see your fave dancing for his/her life and having the judges possibly vote them out.

If drama & romance and lots of heart breaking is what U need in BB3 house then i think the viewers must vote Tawana out so that Toya can deliver the goods by turning the house upside down even though she tends to be lazy sumtimes I think she's the main reason some of the housemates come out of their shells because she's talk of the town, we need all the gossip to continue in the house.
