TVSA has just learned that
SYTYCD SA contestant
Blaze Blasberg has been admitted hospital this morning (16 Sept.) for emergency treatment.
Sources close to the show say that he suddenly became very ill last night/in the early hours of this morning and when taken to hospital was admitted immediately.
As yet no diagnosis has been made but it's speculated that he may be suffering from an allergic reaction to something. He's currently in high care, on a drip and undergoing tests.
Updated - Tuesday afternoon, 16 September: He won't be performing on Saturday's show and the choreographer's assistant will be dancing with Marise. If he's better he'll go into the bottom 3 and need to dance for his life.
The show's flying in his mom to be with him.
We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear more.
Update - Wednesday, 17 September: A source close to the show has informed us that Blaze is out of the critical condition he was in yesterday. No diagnosis has been confirmed yet but he managed to get up to walk around a bit and ate something.
He won't be able to compete in Saturday's show though. If he's well enough he'll automatically go into the bottom 3 for next Tuesdays elimination show and will have to dance for his life.
There's been no word about what will happen if he's not able to do this.
