Metro FM Music Awards

*They never invited me to their awards launch mara they are sending me press releases left right and centre....nithanda kabi uku USER abantu...I've been ignoring them mara I couldn't ignore this one....*

So it appears they've stuffed up with the list of nominees and I'm like "How do you stuff up with a NOMINEES LIST for an event that is supposed to be this HUGE??"
Don't they get the list audited and verified before they throw a BIG LAUNCH PARTY *where I don't even get invited* ???

The press release says:

"After carefully re-checking all the nominees we realised that some of them do not qualify for the 2008 awards as their albums were released outside the stipulated time frames."

Duh! You guys should have done this BEFORE you told us about the list...I'm disappointed man, how do we even trust that the results will be 100% CORRECT if you can't do such a simple thing...to check, verify and audit?
Sorry guys but someone needs to be "recalled" for this mess.....

First it was the thing about the venue change....and the stories about you not paying your DJ's on time...and the behind the scenes drama with the awards tender.....and then the shows that get boring with each minute....hayi guys....wake up please, how hard can it be to produce an awards show after you've done it 8 times before?
You really should be embarassed and like a friend of mine said, for the sake of your integrity, CALL OFF THE AWARDS....WE CAN'T TRUST THEM ANYMORE.
Oh, and there's nothng in the Press Release about WHO AUDITED this new list!!! I smell a dead fish!!

The artist (& their managers) who entered even though they knew they didnt qualify should also be ashamed of themselves for being so desperate!

(If the list was decided by the public then I withdraw this statement...)

Please tell me who is Segale and what is his role at Metrofm? Everyone on that station wants to be famous, Programme Managers still want to be DJs? Yintwe njani leyo? You can't be a DJ and still want to be in Management?????? I don't care whether he is the best thing that has ever happened to Radio or not, a CEO of a company can't suddenly want to a Secretary...... ngeke.........

He was promoted? The person who promoted him needs to be fired............ I was listening to the station last week (please don;t ask me why), they were doing a gig guide and i swear i heard them mention where Segale was playing that weekend... i nearly drove off the road. Really now, Kuli is not lying when she says amachina are laughing at us. REALLY NOW BLACK PEOPLE?????????????

Why am i not surprised about the Metro fiasco. Shugs..you should be glad that you didn't attend their hot-mess of a launch...it looked so disorganised.
They should be ashamed of themselves, verification of release dates was the first thing that they were supposed to check. They were just happy to nominate themselves and their friends. Mara...how come Dj Clock is not even nominated,,,i mean REALLY??? 'Umahamba yedwa' and 'Dusk n' dawn' are national anthems......
Glenzito's album is also nominated..huh...what a big joke!!!! Oh,,,i forgot,,,,,,,he always plays his songs,,,*rolling my eyes*.

Why? they also musicians/DJ's mos and they have worked hard in their projects and i think them like any other musicians will like to get an award as a token of appreciation from their listeners & fans.

Miracles do happen. Was she the only one with an album that qualified as a “suitable” replacement? The Jaziel brothers’ album could have taken it. Their album is that damn good.

Judging by the screw up from the PSL and Telkom draw yesterday, Metro FM is forgiven.

I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE WROTE SOMETHING ABOUT THIS MESS. ITS REALLY NOT UP TO STANDARD. I CAN UNDERSTAND ONE OR TWO NAMES. THIS IS REALLY RIDICULOUS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN HOW THEY ACTUALLY PLANNED AN EVENT WITHOUT MAKING SURE EVERYTHING WAS 100%. AS FOR UNATHI BEING NOMINATED, PLEASE, IF SHE WASN'T A DJ HER SONGS WOULDN'T BE PLAYED SO MUCH ON RADIO. SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET THEIR ACT RIGHT. COME ON PEOPLE.
