One my friends once told me that her BF (now her ex) was HUGELY well-endowed.
When she told me I was all very pleased for her and so on but then ended up in a crisis situation where I had endless trouble trying to seperate what I knew about him every time I saw him. Like I couldn't seperate the two and got confused about what to think.
Did I think about giving it a try? Mmmm ?? ... moving on ...!!
This is the crux of a hott new US show called Hung, coming up on M-Net in September/October.
It's about a guy (played by Thomas Jane*) who's a teacher, father and husband one day and a prostitute the next.
*The expensive movie voice (accent included)* .... "Ray Drecker thought he had everything. A wife, two kids, a home and job as a football coach teacher - until it all collapsed around him when his wife left him for a porky plastic surgeon."
His wife (played by Anne Heche) dumps him saying that she's tired of his loser attitude. They owe stacks of money, they never do anything as a family and her new Dr 90210 offers her botox.
She leaves, their Osbourne kids are forced to leave with her when their house burns down ('cos of Ray) and he's left living in a tent, alone.
He goes to a "Make Money NOW" type motivational workshop that says that everyone needs to find their tool - the thing they have that can make them money. He realises that thing he has that he's always been praised for is his well-endowed "man-tool" - even his wife still has nothing bad to say about it.
After hmm'ing and hah'ing he decides that it's his only option to make cash so he gets himself a pimp (a fellow classmate), the pair go into business and the show rocks.
I've seen the first episode and it's as you'd imagine. Light, very funny and also has moments of being wowser - there's a point where Ray's really down-and-out and says "When did life become something you have to buy?" - so crazy-true.
It premiered in the US at the end of June - will keep you posted closer to the time before it starts here. In the meantime ... a trailer ...
*He (Thomas Jane) seems familiar, as if he's been the lead in a lot but nothing I've seen properly. He's mostly done guest roles and horror fliks. He looks a bit like Kevin Costner actually.
Ballsy fact:The show's made by HBO and got the highest rating for the channel in two years when it premiered.
