Another Monday, another time for Monday World. I don't know what to write so I will just write whatever comes to my mind as I write, just like Carino does.
Rolling with dogs and beating journalists
Mzansi's proverbial bad Zola can't seem to stay away from trouble. After the release of his new album and a brand new show on etv, mina I was thinking this is the beginning of good things.
It is reported in the Sunday World that the thuggish muso beat up and set dogs on Sunday World journalist, Ngwako Malatji. It is reported that Ngwako was working on a story on Zola and called the bad boy muso for comment. Zola preferred a face-to-face interview and invited the journalist to his home. Upon arrival, Ngwako was invited into the yard and the paper's photographer was refused access into the house.
Rolled over by Zola
Then, Zola beat up the journo and set his dogs on him. Ngwako screamed for help calling the photographer who couldn't help since the gate was locked. When Zola was done, he opened the gate for the journo to leave. Zola alleges he is sort of angry because the journo is conspiring with his ex-girlfriend Garneth Maseko on stories.
Manje ke bhuti usigalekeqe esi esi unfocused, no journalist says no to a story from a source. As much as I have my own issues regarding media ethics at the tabloid, the paper was only affording you a chance to tell them your side of the story. Any good journalist needs to exhaust their resources to get all sides of the story.
Yazi Zola, it just simply goes to show, once a bad boy, always a bad boy. Le teng, you need therapy dawg. Clearly you harbour a lot of anger and grudges. Now the journo has pressed charges against you. I wanna see how you will whistle yourself out of this one. I was starting to warm up to your comeback, but then, you really belong behind bars where you need to undergo correctional and rehabilitation programmes behind the walls of Sun City Correctional Services.
You are so not top shayela. I am wondering if you a are criminal or not. You can learn a lot from Kabelo Mabalane and Danny K.
Stars will always shine: The duo is set to star in Generations
While on Kabelo and Danny, the two are set to star in local popular soapie Generations next week Monday, reports The New Age. "The duo, who co-founded the Shout Foundation, will be interviewed by the sassy DJ Lulu, played by Samkelo Ndlovu, on her radio show talking about the Shout for a Safer South Africa initiative and the difference it has made in decreasing crime in society, as well as their upcoming song, which has already been recorded," reports The New Age.
Now, this is top shayela!
Danny K: He wants to shout top shayela safety
As much as Generations lacks focus and has no direction, we have to give it to the show for helping the duo reach a greater audience. Akere you and a whole lot of other 7 million peeps are watching daily. As much as I hate to admit it, the show is influential with trends as
we have in the past seen with Sharon's hairstyle. Now, let's see if the Shout for a Safer South Africa will be the talk of the town.
Generations is, for now, top shayela for assiting Kabelo and Danny with their vision to reach their goal.
#Deathby a white woman
Some not so to shayela news is Mshoza Mnisi, or whatever her name is. Any way, the Sunday Sun reports that the semi-hungry lass for publicity has just gone Michael Jackson on us, no man, she hasn't allegedly died from over-dosing. She just went a white woman on us. Yeap folks, the failed singer has bleached her skin to look like a white girl. Thina we loved the black Mshoza. I am not sure if I will warm up to the new madam on the block. Mrs Mnisi claims to be happy about being black and beautiful but says she felt a need to enhance her looks to look like a white woman. We hope you will not change to white people's accent.
Mshoza is so not top shayela.Fullfilling her Destiny: Khanyi Dhlomo is busy appearing on the cover of her magazine as her readers demand
Moving to more top shayela news. The Destiny magazine of November, features six role model women with young women who look up to them, as the main cover. Guess who is the leading lady on the cover? Yeap, you guessed it right! Khanyi Dhlomo. I know what you are thinking? She is putting herself on the cover of her magazine for the 3rd time now!?
So not top shayela? No, you are wrong, this is top shayela!
Must have issue: From editor's note to the very last page is all top shayela
The magazine ran a poll online asking their readers to nominate the role models they would like to appear with in the magazine. By the look of things if I read very well between the lines, Khanyi received the highest number of votes from readers who look up to her for business inspiration and astute acumen. The readers were given a chance to quiz their role models and very good answers we get. Plus, they appear on the cover alongside their role models.
One of the answers by Khanyi I liked goes: "One of the most important decisions we've made is to stop seeing ourselves as a media company, but rather as a producer of quality business and lifestyle content which we can deliver in various forms across a number of platforms and industries...I try to remember that every little thing I do, say or think, adds up to something significant...Everything I've done was part of what I am now and what I'll be in the future..."
This is so top shayela. Can I say it again, top shayela.
Back then: A younger looking Wendy Luhabe
Another woman featured is Wendy Luhabe who spoke in great detail about the dire need for education in South Africa. I found her interview to be speaking to me because it emphasizes the need to uplift our rural communities. Coming from a rural area myself, in October I organised an academic celebration at my local church where students from all walks of life came to learn and hear about how those who succeed have done it and how they continue to succeed.
Even if I have to say it myself, I think I had top notch speakers who did a great job. When I read Wendy's interview, I saw myself in those words and my dream for my village. Wendy
Luhabe's academic vision is top shayela and so is
my vision for my village which can be viewed here.
Bigger Shayela: Carol Bouwer hasn't lost her mojo
Other role models featured are Lira Kohl, Carol Bouwer, Jenna Clifford and Jenni Button. In the November issue, the mag has really outdone itself. Starting with the editor's note the ‘til the last page, page 186, is
top shayela news that build a bigger brand of fulfilling your destiny.
In other top shayela news, Lira features on the cover of this month's Real magazine. Besides that the dress or the pic on the cover makes Lira look sort of somehow skinny,
the cover story is top shayela and I enjoyed the semi-fresh feel of the article. It's beautifully written and no tabloid style.
Top shayela for Real.
Sushi King and Mogodu King: From eating sushi to mala le mogodu
Kenny Kunene's bithday party this year was also top shayela. The controversial business man turned social butterfly celebrated his 41 birthday in Alexandra township eating mala le mogodu as well as maotwana. This comes after his 40th birthday resulted in a big noise from self-righteous people who condemned his sushi eating from female models.
Going kasi and supporting kasi businesses is top shayela Kenny!
