Tamara Dey and her professional dancing partner
Brandon Eilers became the first couple in the history of
Strictly Come Dancing SA to earn four perfect scores from the judges, in Saturday night's final four showdown.
In a light-hearted episode hosted by Mark Banks, the bizarre stand-in for regular host
Ian von Memerty, the remaining four couples each performed two dances.
Dey and Eilers first danced the Quick Step, scoring 33 out of 40 - which put them in first place after the first round of dances.
But it was the second dance - a creative rendition of the Cha Cha - that drew perfect 10s from all judges,
Tyrone Watkins included.
After two rounds Dey and Eilers had 73 points out of a possible 80, which put them 16 points clear of second-placed couple
Freedom Hadebe and
Mary Martin.
Jeannie D and partner
Anthony Krotz were third, with
Riaan Venter and
Hayley Hammond bringing up the rear.
In the end it was Jeannie who was sent home, leaving the final three to battle it out in the semifinals next week.
Dey must surely be favourite to win the competition now. How do you beat a perfect score?
