
Word of Mouth Productions announced on Friday that soapie
Muvhango, broadcast on SABC2, is saying goodbye to two established cast members.
It has been confirmed that both
Lerato Moloi (Refiloe Tshepo) and
Siphiwe Hlabangane (Kolo Modise) will leave the show in June to pursue other interests.
Moloi plays the character of Refiloe, the charming daughter of Malume Tshepo and a loner who has been unlucky in love and constantly in search of a partner.
Hlabangane who plays Kolo Modise, the sly and scheming lawyer who is the love interest of Tumi.
According to Muvhango producer Patronella Sello the two actors are leaving for professional reasons.
"Lerato has decided to leave Muvhango to pursue other interests and opportunities. She is a young, vibrant and talented actress and a plethora of opportunities have opened up for her," said Sello in a press statement.
"The multi-talented Siphiwe has decided to pursue his acting love for theatre.
"Both Lerato and Siphiwe will be missed by the team and will feature on the programme until June 2007.
"We wish them all the best in their future endeavours."
Muvhango - currently ranked 7th on TVSA's list of top local shows, as rated by readers of this website - airs on SABC2 every Monday to Wednesday at 21h00.
