If there are any actresses I don’t mind watching on TV, it’s these ladies. They are beautiful, talented and carry themselves with dignity. It think any series or programme they feature in is good quality because they choosy in the roles they play.

Moshidi Motshekgwa

Moshidi

She has featured in Hijack Stories, Drum, Zero Tolerance and many other drama series. As her track records dictates, sista girl is good at what she does & she does not settle for just any role. I haven’t heard anything scandalous about her and she certainly has not sold herself short for fame. Love her!

Bonie

Bonnie Henna (nee Mbuli) The only thing she is guilty off is beating me to Sisanda Henna, who is now her husband. Bonnie has come a long way, endured some pretty serious criticism, but has not let that get her down, neither has she let her fame go to her head. She has featured in Backstage, Soul City, Gazlam, Catch a Fire, and many more. You really can’t hate Bonnie, she’s a sweetie!

Nthati2

Nthati Moshesh - Can you believe she’s turning 40 soon? But just look at her, so graceful, down to earth. The fact that she’s from Katlehong (iKas’ lam) is not why I admire her so much, I think she’s really good at what she does, and has given some credible performances. She’s a great role model.

Thamie

Thami Ngubeni – I think she has a beautiful soul. I’ve never met her, but she seems like a kind-hearted person. She’s now editor of O magazine, has her own show on Metro FM on Sundays and also runs a successful company www.thamingubeni.com. She has featured in Generations (while it was still worth watching), Jozi H, and Free Spirit (as a presenter). She’s a very genuine person!

Mmabatho Montsho – She’s the new kid on the block and I hope she does not destroy the image she has built for herself. She’s also form the East Rand – Spruitview, although she insists she’s from Soweto, and no, that’s not why I like her so much. You have to agree with me that she is talented and just a loveable somebody hi hi hi. She is setting an example for the up and coming young actresses that you don’t have to sell your soul to be successful, all you need is talent, a good agent and a good personality. Mmabatho also has interests in fashion design, I believe she’s doing a good job at it as well. She has featured in Generations (jumped ship in time), Jacob’s Cross and did some theatre work. She is a gem!

I'm sure there are many other's i didn't touch on, but these ladies are proof that there is talent in Mzansi, its waiting to be found. And once it is found it must be nurtured, appreciated and cherished. Do you enjoy perfomances by these actresses, which other actresses do you consider to be the gems of Mzansi?

I Love Nthathi and Moshidi....these two don't compromise themselves and they know what they are looking for don't just settle for less. Kudos to them. Well i think you have left out Terry Pheto...i also love her...So down to earth!

i love all others except for uBonnie for 1 reason, when i first saw her in 1996 in Technics Heart of the Beat with Glen Lewis she was 22 years old, and then i read a magazine in 2006 and guess how old was she 23, 10 years later. Time flys when u having fun Bonnie doenst it.

my top 5, would be the following, u have to agree with me these are some of the smartest actress that we are blessed with.

1. Mary Twal- (for giving birth to the Divo, I hear when she was preggies a ghost appeared ku Mr Mhlongo to tell him that, they have been blessed with a son, they should name him the DIVOO. u r the best mom Marry & thy blessed womb.)

2.Lillian Dube- (she gave birth 2 Desmond, then was cast 2 play Soul City, they taught her so much about HIV dat she decide to abstain till now. she says brandy/ whisky is far better than a man. It wont bring u AIDS, just some puzaface & she is right look @ her now, but atleast she is AIDS free.)

3.Joyce Skefu- "yhey man you msut neva"( a bet u she only shags Bra Eddie 1 in 3 months thats why he has gon back 2 drinking, but i hear every time after church she meests with the Pastor ????)

4.Nomsa Xaba (cijipmi's mom)- Guga mzimba sala ntliziyo, iyo lamagriza wenza sho, where ever she is cast for an episode bathi uthi I must have a husband.

5.Nandi Nyembe- Ag shame Tiger's wife, someone please find a horse, cut its tail and give dis woman some hair. i hear she had a calling 2 become isangoma, but after she ran away, but after she saw what happened 2 Marry Twala (on Ubizo) she wants 2 continiue.

Mmabatho Montsho is one gorgeous lady!!! Love her style (off-screen). Shoooo. She looks good in anything! And she has the potential to do wonders for her acting career. When are we getting Jacob's what what on SABC??? Would love to see her in a weave!!!

Moshidi - This woman is very talented. She has natural beauty and that calmness about her – and that voice!!! Yho. She could represent BIG TIME internationally!!! And she seems like a great mamasekhaya neh?

I also agree that Nambitha mpumlwana is quite a gem, shes carried herself with respect and shes a true, hardworking black woman.

Guys I Know for a fact that ubonni is older than usisanda. Im not sure but when I read their story , I think it was sometime last year just after they got married, sisanda way 26 turning 27 and bonnie was 30. but the fact of the matter is BONNIE IS OLDER THAT SISANDA.

I also digg Nthati Moshesh, she's absolutely phenominal. One of the best actresses in Mzansi. I also digg Vatiswa Ndara and the lady who plays Viwe in Home Affairs. They are such incredible actresses.

Dimango,U forgot to mention uBrenda Ngxoli from Tsha Tsha fame ,Vathiswa Ndara and Lee Dure from Home affairs(now all on Home affairs).They are not just extremely talented but if you have managed to feature on Home affairs as an actor,there must be something exceptional about you as an actor and you have made:considering the fact that the drama series was positively recieved by critics.These are Mzantsi's best!

Ntathi Moshesh, Vatwiswa Ndara, Brenda Ngxoli, That coloured/xhosa girl who acts in Homeaffirs, and also acts with Desmond Dube, and does FNB adds, (whats her name people....) she's good. The first Khethiwe, she's good I loved her on THE LAB...
(my favourite)Joyce Skefu...she has this excellent comedic timing on her scenes..did y'al see her crying after that fight betweent her and her husband and thier daughters...pure comic relief koScandal...

Compeltely OVERATED female actors asemzansi......NTsiki Nomvete...urgh!!!!!! a big NO for me....Nambitha Mpumulwana she'be typact as the angry but smart woman...and it just gets on my nerve, even kuTSOTSI and YIZO YIZO, etc.
Michele Botes , yes she did wonders for the Cherel role, but hearing her advertise Clientele, made me realise that she''ll always have that voice and that her portayal of cherel had a lot of her personality into it ..but ke maybe she's get to play sungthin else

about Bonnie, I think she's just lucky, or has an excellent agent or is smart , I mean she got to play along aboTye diggs, and for a big-budget movei, beating ama"veterans" asemzansi....apparently they initality felt her accent was too English (read model C) for that type of charecter but she ended up getting the part....now thats LUCK in this industry (or was it a question of "who do I f**k to get this role around here" LOL or maybe some people think she's the greatest actress of our times. hi hi hi

My list

Ashley Callie – She is down to earth, has managed to stay off the scandal front pages. She is just herself.

Nambitha Mpumlwana – She is a legend of the South African Television. She picks her roles carefully and has this ability to make you believe she is that character.

Can’t remember her name but she is in Home Affairs as Jack van Onselen’s sister or something and she was in Isidingo as Derrick Nyathi’s mother. She is absolutely breath taking, speaks the most original Xhosa and exudes passion in what ever role she has. She is strong and can teach the upcoming actresses a thing or three about acting Mara Louw included.

Lee Duru (Home Affairs) – Comedy is her passion no matter how hard she tries to be serious I just laugh at her.

I love Moshidi, Nthati and Mmabatho. Thami and Bonnie "NO" especially u-Bonnie do you remember when she was presenting that show yo-music. She said yena angeke akhulume any african language besides i-English.

Even though amdala ku- Sisanda bona they're cute together.
