The first person I saw when I arrived at the venue was Llcute1 with his entourage/bodyguards who claim to be silent bloggers. Nonny and Carino, TVSA bloggers scare me yazi, Llcute1 is the second blogger I know that has an entourage/bodyguards. But his entourage is nothing compared with Harambe’s one. Harambe has a white (man) bodyguard amongst his entourage. Damn TVSA bloggers are LSM 2000’s.
I thought a certain MetroFm DJ was the hottest pregnant woman around until I saw Lela. Lela please don’t name the child Lungisani assemblief tu!!!!!! Toxic and Sobza joined us and boy did we have a good time!!!!!!
I went inside and was welcomed by Thabo, who made funny jokes about my comment last week (saying he looked like a magician).
Thabo then introduced me to the woman who dresses him for the show, who was not friendly at all. Shame the poor thing, didn’t like my comments about Thabo’s outfit last week.
She went on the defensive telling me, she doesn’t care what I say as long as I don’t criticise the way SHE dresses. In case she’s reading this blog, I have one message for her –
“If she continues with the way she does, the only person she’ll be dressing is Mzekezeke”.
But I must give props to her, Thabo looked great last night. Talking about clothes, some guy from Ukhozi made a sarcastic comment about my lack of style when I made funny comments about Lungisani and Mzo’s second outfits. Bhuti wase KZN let me educate you. The shirts that you, Lungisani and Mzo were wearing were in fashion 10 years ago. I wore the same shirt design at my Matric ball in 1997!!!!!!! So please Nigga, don’t ever embarrass yourself by trying to “teach” P Diddy’s protégé about fashion. I told you that I took grooming lessons from the Master himself for the past 14 years.
I hope I will still get an invite to Lungisani’s welcome party in Durban next week……
Thokozani the Executive Producer and Faith the PR Manager of the show were very disappointed that I refused to be part of the Panel. My reasons were simple, 1. My mother would kill me if she sees me on TV, 2. I have a horrible voice, 3. DJ Waxxy,Zola and I are triplets…….
BS was a damn fine replacement….. BS please tell us what did Siphumelele say to you!!!!!
As usual, Belz, Shannon, Thabisa and Lusanda were great to hang around with. I’ll let Lela tell you more about Kgotso, because she spent more than 20 minutes speaking to him.
Oh I forgot to mention, TVSA bloggers were VIPs who didn’t get food because all the extra strongs finished the food while the media was busy with an unorganized press conference.……
Did I mention that Bra Mkhize looked great as well? The show did not have judges but had a panel of celebrities and journalist who have been following the show, and of course TVSA was represented by the ever so Gorgeous Lelo Boyana, aka Brown Shuga………seating next to Lindelani nogal!!!!!!!
Before the show started, I had a wonderful chat with Mzo, Lungisani and Charisma who was so sure that she won’t win.
Before I start talking about the performances, I must give props to Nomsa the Stylist for the wonderful job she did on all the top 3 contestants. Especially Lungisani and Charisma, they looked amazing. I’m still not happy about Mzo’s second outfit though!!!!!!!
The show started with Thabo threatening mjj, shame Thabo didn’t you know that mjj is also on the verge of employing bodyguards????
The panel of “experts” (not judges) was made up of, UkhoziFM Marketing Manager
Mlamuli Nxele, Lesedi FM Marketing Manager
Juliette something (
who brought her child wearing school uniform at the recording), our very own Lelo Boyana (
what is she famous for kanene?), Tonight Jounalist
Munyaradzi, SABC 2 Marketing Manager Yandiswa and the vocal coach of the show Malie Kelly.
Performances
Before the contestants performed, a video with each contestant’s highlight package was shown and who would ever forget Charisma 2 piece black number and Lungisani’s audition?
Charisma
Charisma opened the show by singing Tis So Sweet……. And you couldn’t have asked for a better opening. She gave a better performance than when she auditioned. Charisma, please sisi, when asked a question, answer what is asked…. (8/10)
Mzo sang Uthando Lukababa (I will never forget Mzo’s performs with Berlinda and Lungisani, in the earlier stages of the show). I saw Llcute1 and his entourage on tv when Mzo performed….
Its really hard to accept that Mzo didn’t win, and hence I have no words to describe his performance (and that’s very rare of me not to have something to say). He deserved a 10/10.
Lungi sang Umoya wam Uyakudumisa with JC members as backing vocalist
Lungie’s performance was ok (7/10). Maar Thabo is responsible for making Lungisani look and sound like a clown. Does he really have to ask him those questions????? LOL.
For the second round of performances, Nqubeko wrote a song for all 3 contestants to perform and give different interpretations.
Lungisani’s version – When he sang the song, it sounded like a song I’ve heard b4, but his second performance was better than his first. Oh did I mention that Lungi looked nice with that Gold outfit?, I blame Kgotso Lungie’s roommate for Lungisani’s thinking that he is also a leader. But what was Yandisa from SABC thinking when she mumbled something about Lungi’s eyes?
Charisma’s version – If the top 3 were only judged on their last performances Charisma deserved to win. It had seemed that Nqubeko had Charisma in mind when he wrote the song. She sang it beautifully.
Mzo’s version – Great performance by Mzo and yes I’ll buy his CD. His performance was cut short though and I suspect it was due to time. Thokozani, why are you discriminating against the child????? Lelo also mumbled something at the end, LORD, I hope she didn’t offer to take the poor child under her wing….
WinnerCharisma was named as the second runner-up, with an unexpected R25000 cash price. I see the producers do take tips from me. Remember I told them to give the runner ups a cash price as well. The question now is
where is my share? Disappointingly Mzo was named the first runner up with also a R25000 cash price.
Fellow bloggers, who were with me, couldn’t get the feeling that Lungie would be named as the winner, hours before he was named as the winner. His second outfit, gave it away, and as one of the bloggers mentioned before the show started, why was he the only contestant with backing vocalist for both his performances? Whether you think last week’s show sealed the victory for him or not, he was named the 1st IWTSG winner. Did his trip home play a role? Did the sympathetic angle taken by the producers to sell Lungisani to the viewers work? Lindelani and Lungisani don’t think so. Lungie is the winner whether you like it or not and as Borrisa from Big Brother would say – DEAL with it. And he mentioned it more than once that people did not vote for him just because of his humbling background, they voted for him because he is
talented.
Hay’ke after he was named as the winner, he took over from Kgotso, and faked his fainting a number of times. Lungie my brother if you want people to take you seriously and as the legitimate winner of the competition, please stop with those stupid antics……….
This is a real clown
What pained me was to see Mzo’s face after the announcement; especially after assuring him that he was taking the R100 000 back home. Ngxe bhuti, and never forget that GOD always has a plan……
Gossip:
- Someone whispered to my ear that Lungisani received +-40 000 votes, compared to Mzo ‘s +- 30 000 votes. So doing some calculations, whoever gets the money from the voting process should receive not less than R160 000, from ONLY the past week ALONE. So why are you not giving the other top 10 contestants and mjj R10 000 each????? In any case you didn’t pay the children for recording the album and if my sources are correct you also won’t be paying them for the sales of the CD…… CHILD ABUSE
- I’ve been hearing this for a while but decided not to mention it until now – The Top 9 contestants might be starting their own band soon. I for one think it’s a horrible idea………Those Children don't get along with each other and that's a FACT
- The top 10 contestants all received a goody bag which had amongst other things, a Samsung Touch screen phone and a R3000 Edgars gift voucher.
- Kanti isn’t supposed to be the media people receiving a goody bag? I tried in vain to persuade SABC 2 and the Production company to give media people (myself, Lelo, Toxic, Sobza, Llcyte1, Lela, and he rest of the crew) a goody bag…… but nothing, guys I don’t mind getting one as long as the R3000 voucher is for FABIANI………. I don’t wear Edgars clothes…. LOL
- Tshepiso was nowhere to be seen but I hear that he will be performing as well at the State Theatre this coming Thursday and Friday………..
- The contestants will arrive back to their home towns on the 1st of November….. I’ll let you know their flight details in case you want to welcome them or throw a party for them……
What’s Next I have 10 (single) complimentary tickets to give away for the Thursday performance of I want to sing Gospel in Pretoria at the State Theatre, to win yourself a ticket please answer the following question:
Competition 1Which
contestants received the highest number of viewer votes for more than once.
Clue = 3 names
Competition 2I also have 10 IWTSG Top 13 CD’s to give away (
Only bloggers outside Gauteng are allowed to enter this CD competition) and the question is:
What is the name of the song sang by all Top 3 contestants last night!!!!!!!!!
Rules: Terms and Conditions apply. MJJ is the only Judge and if you don’t win, try again next year. Send the answers to mjj@tvsa.co.za. Winners will be announced on Wednesday for both competitions. For both competitions please send me your tvsa user name with your answers. For the CD competition, send me your full name and postal address as well. You can't win on both competitions
TVSA after party was held at (I’m embarrassed to mention the name) McDonalds in Melville. For more than once I tried to stop bloggers for getting excited when they saw someone that looked like a celebrity. Every time this happened I told them not to look or stare because the person will think he/she is important, Damn every time I said that, they all (at once)yelled at me to shut-up….. LAWD I don’t want to hang out with bloggers anymore…….. LOL
Finally the show came to an end and disappointingly, the person most thought would win did not win the big price. But what he won was our HEARTS. Not taking away the limelight to the ultimate winner
congratulations to Lungisani
Damn this has been also a wonderful journey for me, i had a awesome exp following the show, writing about the show, interacting with fellow bloggers, meeting the contestants and everyone involved with the show...
THANK YOU
