Dale Steyn's WAG Lands Leading Role

... last we heard, Dale Steyn's girlfriend Jeanne Kietzmann was getting clingy with him on the set of HECTIC-9 when TVSA visited the show last year.

Blast to the past:

Tashi: Are you and Dale gonna get married?
Jeanne: The fact is we're too young. I've got so much in my life I want to accomplish and as soon as you get married things slow down. I'm studying at the moment, I'm doing a Bachelor of Consumer Design - it's sort of like fashion design but more along the lines of fashion buying, marketing and so on with business so I'm concentrating on that before getting knocked up and all that.

Right now: she's landed a leading role on M-Net's new soccer drama series League Of Glory, which premieres next Wednesday (5 May).

It was scheduled to start this week (28 April) but had to be postponed by a week after the show had to re-film scenes. They used a soccer ball that was against the many FIFA (are we even "allowed" to say the name?!) rules and regulations so they had re-shoot with a different ball.

Set in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, the series centres round three up-and-coming soccer players from different backgrounds who form a bond of friendship through their shared ambitions to make it to the glory leagues.

Jeanne plays Tamara Blaine, GF to one of the three guys, Jonathan.  When the series starts their relationship is ASS (almost-spiltville-status): a pregnant Tamara has an abortion and things go downhill between them as they become haunted by their secret.

I haven't seen the show but from what I've heard Tamara turns Poison Ivy, stealing and so on.

The series takes over the Survivor SA timeslot - at 19h30.

No, most definitely not. She is famous for being a Cape Town based, Film and Television, Actress. Trained in Stanislavski Method Acting. Who has many many acting roles, her latest being in League of Glory. And her next one being, one of the supporting leads in Bbc new tv drama Outcasts directed by Bhirat Nulluri, playing next to 'Ugly Betty's', Eric Mabius. Now call me cynical but I think it probably takes alot more talent than being a girlfriend to play those roles at international level.
