Eleventh Hour is an American science-based drama television series created by Stephen Gallagher and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television which follows Dr. Jacob Hood, a brilliant biophysicist and Special Science Adviser for the FBI who is brought in to investigate crimes of a scientific or paranormal nature.
The series aired in the USA on CBS from 9 October, 2008 to 2 April, 2009. There are 18 hour-long episodes in the series, which was officially cancelled by CBS on 19 May, 2009.
Eleventh Hour premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Action channel on Monday 5 October 2009, at 19h00. New episodes air weekly.

Synopsis
Eleventh Hour, from acclaimed producer Jerry Bruckheimer, follows Dr. Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell), a brilliant biophysicist and special science advisor to the government, as he investigates scientific crises and oddities.
His jurisdiction is absolute and Hood is dogged in his pursuit of those who would abuse and misuse scientific discoveries and breakthroughs for their own gain.
His passion and crusade is to protect the substance of science from those with nefarious motives. He is called in at the eleventh hour and he represents the last line of defence.
Special Agent Rachel Young (Marley Shelton) is the decorated FBI protection officer assigned to watch Hood’s back.
Based on the British mini-series by acclaimed writer Stephen Gallagher, the series is executive produced by Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Danny Cannon, Cyrus Voris, Ethan Reiff and Mick Davis for Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with Warner Bros. Television.
