Synopsis
In the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, we take a look at the life of Will Smith, a streetwise, jive-talking youth from Philadelphia who constantly lands himself in trouble.
Will's mother wants him to learn good values, to be more responsible and mature and to get out of the dangerous ghetto so she packs him off to California to live with their rich relatives in the sophisticated community of Bel-Air.
In Bel-Air, Will proves to be quite a challenge for his upper class family but he soon influences them with his inner-city wit and charm.
The occupants of the Bel-Air home are Will's uncle Phillip, a practising attorney; his Aunt Viv, a sophisticated smart lady; and his three cousins: nerdy Carlton, conceited Hillary and cute Ashley.
There's also the butler, Geoffrey who cannot stop himself with his constant wise cracks and put-down lines mostly at the expense of Carlton and his air-head sister, Hillary.
As Will settles in and adapts to the lifestyle of the Banks family, they overcome cultural and attitude differences as they learn the value of family and that money can't buy happiness.
With lots of hilarious moments, Will Smith brings with him laughter, tears, rap songs, etc. as he sits on his throne as the Prince of Bel-Air.
