CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (also known as CSI: Las Vegas or CSI) is an American police procedural television series created by Anthony E. Zuiker that follows the investigations of a passionate team of Las Vegas forensic scientists on the graveyard shift as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths and other crimes.
Their job is to find the missing pieces at the scene that will help to solve the crime and vindicate those who often cannot speak for themselves - the victims.
Veteran producer Jerry Bruckheimer, creator Anthony E. Zuiker, and executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue guide one of the most innovative and successful one-hour crime dramas in primetime television.
CSI - the acronym for Crime Scene Investigation - tells the story of the little-known and less understood heroes who work crime scenes - the forensic investigators.
These are the men and women who work 24/7 to untangle the evidence behind the yellow police lines, piecing together seemingly insignificant puzzle pieces to nail the bad guys and serve those who are most important and sometimes overlooked - the victims.
The CSIs sift through the murders, suicides, robberies and violent crimes that threaten the streets of Las Vegas, on and off the Strip, moving beyond the neon decadence to seediest and deadliest corners of the infamous city in the desert.
Under Gil Grissom's (and later Catherine Willows) watchful eye, the team uses both cutting-edge scientific methods and old-fashioned savvy to solve their crimes, driven to succeed by the pact they have made with the public they serve.
"Let the evidence bring justice to the victims and closure to the survivors."
Jerry Bruckheimer, Carol Mendelsohn, Anthony Zuiker, Don McGill, Jonathan Littman, Louis Milito, Ann Donahue, Cindy Chvatal and William Petersen are executive producers for CBS Television Studios and Entertainment AB Funding LLC in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
