Season 2

Sleepy Hollow returns with all-new edge-of-your-seat mysteries and adventures, as the series' heroic duo of Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) fends off the forces of evil to save not only their town, but the world.

Picking up immediately after the spellbinding events of the Season 1 finale, Ichabod finds himself buried alive in a coffin; Abbie is trapped in purgatory; Ichabod's wife, Katrina (Katia Winter), has been kidnapped by the Headless Horseman; Capt. Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) is behind bars for a murder he did not commit; and Abbie's sister, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), is among the wreckage of a horrific car crash.

These events were due in large part to the shocking revelation that Henry Parish (John Noble), the trusted friend of Ichabod and Abbie, is actually Ichabod and Katrina's son and the Second Horseman of the Apocalypse.

Now, with Henry's emergence as the Horseman of War, alongside the Headless Horseman, Sleepy Hollow has never been so close to destruction.

This season, fans will be introduced to a myriad of new faces in Sleepy Hollow, including Sheriff Leena Reyes (guest star Sakina Jaffrey, House of Cards) and the enigmatic Nick Hawley (guest star Matt Barr, Hatfields & McCoys) who add new drama, excitement and intrigue to the ever-thickening story of the mystical town.

Sheriff Reyes' no-nonsense attitude threatens Ichabod and Abbie's progress, while Hawley's appearance in town adds romantic intrigue and a touch of scandal.

For their part, Ichabod and Abbie face a new slew of netherworld evils and must combat them, at times, using fire to fight fire. Plus, the realisation that their No. 1 foe is actually Ichabod's son places loyalties – and seemingly unbreakable friendships – to the ultimate test.

As always, Ichabod continues to discover more about the modern world around him – from the joys of the modern-day banking system, to a new, perplexing exercise routine: yoga.

The premiere season of Sleepy Hollow introduced viewers to a resurrected Ichabod, pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod was the infamous Headless Horseman, who embarked upon a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow and, to Ichabod's alarm, was the first of many horrors to seep into the town.

Ichabod teamed up with Abbie, a leftenant on the police force, and the two embarked on a supernatural mission to stop the evil that awoke along with Ichabod.

With the help of Captain Irving and Abbie's estranged sister, Jenny, the pair battled witches, demons, plagues, Acolytes, the Sandman, a haunted house, the Golem, the dark demon Molloch and now, as Season 2 begins, they're in a battle for their lives.

Nothing is as it seems in this fantastical world of mythology, death-defying romance, untold history, signature Crane humor, hair-raising evil and, perhaps, much-needed hope.
