Season 2
The Scoop is a South African celebrity gossip show based on a global format by FCCETV and hosted by Khanyi Mbau, which brings "scoops" every week of the latest trends in local and international fashion, music, movies and celebrities.
The show aims to bring viewers up to date on who needs to be deported from Earth, who's throwing shade on whom, who's got to be traded or swapped, who's got a lot and the biggest movies you missed out on.
The show is for people who love stars, fashion, music hitting the charts, when it's time to swap and staying on fleek. From the races to red carpets around the world, Khanyi gives a peak behind the scenes of these events - and the celebrities that frequent them.
Scoop is a global format by FCCETV and the South African adaption is the only one of its kind that focusses predominantly on local stories. It was created by producer Mayenzeke Baza; executive producers Khanyi Mbau, Pascal Schmitz and John Smith; and creative director Jonathan Wegerle.
The Scoop is a collaboration between Mandela Bay Pictures, Hoplite Entertainment and Her Productions and first started filming at the 2017 Durban July.
Broadcast Notes
Season 2 originally aired on SABC3 on Wednesdays at 21h00. It moved to Thursdays at 20h30 from 8 February, 2018, beginning with Episode 17.
