Entourage is an American comedy-drama television series created by Doug Ellin that chronicles the rise of Vincent Chase — a young A-list movie star — and his childhood friends from Queens, New York City as they navigate the unfamiliar terrain of Hollywood, California.

The series aired in the USA on HBO from 18 July, 2004 to 11 September, 2011. There are 96 half-hour episodes in eight seasons.

Entourage originally aired in South Africa on DStv's GO channel (which became Vuzu in July 2009) from 4 April, 2007 to 14 November, 2011. It later aired on TopTV's Fox FX channel. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 4 originally aired on GO from 2 July to to 17 September, 2008, on Wednesdays at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.

Season 4 later aired on Fox FX from 4 August to 20 October, 2011, on Thursdays at 20h50. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 12 episodes in the fourth season.

Entourage, the Emmy-winning comedy series returns to take a none-too-serious look at the day-to-day life of Vince Chase, one of Hollywood's hottest young actors, and the three buddies he's brought with him from their hometown in Queens, NY: manager Eric, half-brother Drama and party pal/aspiring rap producer Turtle.

Together, they experience the highs and lows of life in the fast lane of Hollywood, where the stakes are higher, and the money and temptations greater than ever before.

Filmed on location in Los Angeles (including many well-known hot spots), the series draws on the experiences of industry insiders to illustrate both the heady excesses of today's celebrity lifestyle, as well as the difficulty of finding love and success in the fast track of show biz.

Based (at least partially) on the Hollywood experiences of executive producer Mark Wahlberg, the series spins a fictional yarn within the real life world of L.A.'s movie studios, nightclubs and mansions – with actors and celebrities passing through the lives of the four buddies who live and party in a mansion paid for by Vince's movies.

This year, the Medellin project is underway at last. After making financial sacrifices to become producers on the project, Eric and Vince approach the only director who can make the film on a shoestring budget, auteur Billy Walsh.

But will Billy's on-set antics and artistic insecurities make them critical darlings, or will they be booed out of theatres?
