Season 3 has not yet aired in South Africa.

Season 3

Set against the stunning vistas of the Alberta Rocky Mountains, Heartland is a sprawling family drama that follows sisters Amy and Lou Fleming and their grandfather, Jack, through the highs and lows of life on a horse ranch.

Entering Season 3, Amy continues to keep her mother's dream alive by treating traumatized and neglected horses but things get complicated when she suddenly finds herself thrust into the limelight of unwanted fame.

She and Ty are finally together as a couple as Ty pursues his interest in veterinary medicine working alongside Scott.

Lou will have to make some difficult decisions about her future. As her relationship with Peter Morris becomes more and more serious she feels pulled between two different worlds.

As for Jack, his granddaughters are growing up, Lisa wants to take their relationship to the next level and like it or not, Tim is a permanent part of the family.

But one thing will never change – Jack will always be the rock of Heartland.

Over the course of the season Amy and Ty take steps towards adulthood as a young couple, and there's going to be more than a few bumps along the way.

And when tragedy strikes, the bonds of Amy and Ty's relationship will be put to the test.
