Season 7
Tropika Island of Treasure is back with Season 7 being held on the island archipelago of the Seychelles.
Seven South African celebrities have been chosen to compete in a competition like no other. The celebs must choose their teammates who they will be taking with them to the island to work together to win the one million rand cash prize.
In the opening episode, Tropika goes on a roadshow across the country meeting thousands of South Africans in the hopes of finding the perfect partners for the celebrities. After a country-wide selection process the celebrities meet their biggest fans in a one on one speed dating scenario.
The "pleb" contestants only have a few minutes to impress their favourite celebrity and convince them that together they can win the one million rand grand prize.
The celebs face a difficult decision as they look for a balance of brains, brawn and personality. They need to find someone that compliments them and someone they can work with together as a team. The celebrities make their decisions and then surprise their chosen teammates by visiting them in their home towns.
Together the 14 Tropika Island of Treasure competitors board a plane to the Seychelles where one million rands await.

This season is hosted by Minnie Dlamini, with Jonathan Boynton-Lee as Games Master. The format has been expanded to one hour from the previous half-hour season.
The seventh season was won by Anga Makubalo and Bonginkosi Ndima.
