Season 5
Now in its 5th season, Rolling With... is back with a bang and this time features Headliners.
The Rolling With... series zooms into the lives of South African celebrities and newsmakers. The first season featured Zola 7, Season 2 featured controversial diva Kelly Khumalo while Season 3 focused on the kwaito artist, Mandoza. The fourth season was a celeb edition which featured an array of Joziwood celebrities such as Dr Malinga, Teko Modise and Rebecca Malope.
This season's Rolling With... Headliners features a range of South African topical personalities: the newsworthy, the elite and the A-listers.
These newsmakers include:
Lundi Tyamara (gospel singer)
Micasa (musicians)
Bucie (singer)
Goliath and Goliath (comedians)
Zamokwakhwe Bhaka Nzam (traditional healer)
Vintage Cru (dance crew)
Maps Maponyane (model and presenter)
David Tlale (designer)
We find out whether the choirboy-trio Micasa have what it takes to sustain them in "These Streets"; whether gospel's Problem Child Lundi is all grown up; and we go behind the scenes to meet Zamokwakhe, the modern day, flashy and extravagant businessman.
As we roll with Maps, we discover that he's more than just a pretty face... or not? He is legendary footballer Marks Maponyane's son. He's a model, very fashionable and is often mocked for his twang.
Rolling With... Headliners invites viewers to be a "fly on the wall" as it digs deeper into the lives of local newsmakers. While each person's journey is different, the common experience of being in the limelight, fearing failure and being on the rise, as well as the moments between, all ring true in the experiences of these Headliners.
Season 5 is produced by Red Pepper TV, with executive producers Lindi Barry and Cecil Barry. The series producer was Nyasha Zindi and the series director was Nqaba Ngoyi. The executive producer for e.tv was Brian Letlhabane.
