In a Catholic parish on Craggy Island (a fictional island on the coast of Ireland), live three rather unorthodox priests: Father Ted, who is just trying to do a good job and please the boss without getting caught out for his ineptitude; Father Dougal, a somewhat simple man, very unwise in the ways of the world; and Father Jack, a barely comprehensible alcoholic who knows only four words: feck, arse, drink, and girls.
The three priests are served by Mrs Doyle, a kind lady who would like to serve you some tea.
Together they run the island parish and try desperately to avoid any attention from their immediate superior, Bishop Brennan.
Father Ted ran for three seasons and included a Christmas Special.
