Dharma Moments is a South African, Hindu faith specific television series that celebrates and affirms the ways of worship, lifestyle and faith of the Hindu community in South Africa.
The series premiered on SABC2 in November 2006. It currently airs on Sunday mornings at 11h00.
Synopsis
Dharma Moments seeks to celebrate the richness of an ancient yet vibrant community through inserts, cooking, spiritual journeys and Did you Knows, that unravel the "why is" of pooja (or prayer).
Currently presented by Kajal Maharaj (the first season was presented by Kajal Bagwandeen), the series has weaved a sense of a uniquely South African approach to Hindu lifestyle, the arts and culture.
The series also has special documentaries that take an in-depth look at issues and celebrations in the community.
Hinduism abounds with fasts and festivals and Dharma Moments aims to capture the heart beat of these dynamic celebrations.
