What We Want:

We welcome proposals for an original and dynamic talk show concept driven by the presence of a strong, charismatic female presenter or presenters who will appeal to a female audience. The overtone of the series must be light and fun, but with enough heart to veer into the realm of more serious issues of interest to a female audience.

Very interesting brief - wondering what they're gonna get. Also whether they should go for newcomer presenters or well-knowns. Pro's of well-knowns is that the show will immediately get a profile but pro's of newbies is that there won't be any predetermined angle in terms of how they think and their views etc.

Also they must really talk and listen. I don't think it should feel "presented".

Plez Shugs! Para - they could be after something "Elleny"? - but without the celebs mmmm - then there isn't really anything is there? They say it can "veer into more serious topics" , maybe episodes can border on it without being too much type thing.

Some topic ideas that would be fun to see:  "How To lose/snag/get mega bucks out of a guy in 10 Days",  "The terrible State of Fashion in shops right now" " Divorce: the unacknowledged taboo", "How to cope with the need to spy on your neighbours" , "How to have a night out without spending a cent" - aka Ugly Betty

Good day,

I have noticed that there is an urgent need for a local current affairs/talk show program for DStv/MNET. Apart from Carte Blanche, there is no other flagship program aired (please don't bank on "The Wild"). A good suggestion is a daily show similar to the American shows "The View or "The Talk". Local personalities, preferably 4-6 ladies can talk and give insight about issues affecting society that happen within the previous 24-hours. Topics ranging from aspects in the political arena to good healthy living in front of a live studio audience could be discussed. Each day local celebs/special guests can feature or guest host on the program. With regards to possible hosts: they would need to be professional, witty and must be able to interact with the audience and viewer. My personal suggestions for fixed hosts are as follows:

1. Carol Mogale-Bouwer
2. Jailoshini Naidoo
3. Gerry Rantseli-Elsdon
4. Khanyi Dhlomo-Mkhize
5. Michelle Garforth-Venter
6. Michelle Mclean
7. Zuraida Jardine
8. Devi Sankaree Govender
9. Basetsana Khumalo
10. Jeannie D

These ladies have extensive experience in the industry some of whom have been firm favourites of viewers over the years. A show like this, if produced professionally, can be a real draw card in terms of viewership.
