Wayne Rooney has finally ended his goal scoring drought on Tuesday night against Switzerland in a Euro 2012 qualifier match at St Jacob park in the tenth minute, Rooney last scored a goal early this year for manchester united. But its been almost a year since he scored for England. He wasnt able to score during the world cup, which has led to reduced popularity for him in his country. We all heard the crowd boo him in the early matches of the new season. Which did not come to me as a surprise. The player has been facing many problems lately, including the allegations that Rooney slept with a hooker during his wife's pregnancy (cant say i blame him, he's a man), this has led to the popular soccer fans in England requesting he musnt play in the match, which Fabio Capello was expected to consider, but in their dismay, Rooney became part of the squad, and scored.
