Former Miss SA Teen, DJ and actress Phuti Khomo is currently caught in the battle for two dudes as co-host of the dating reality show Rivals In Romance.

Turns out there couldn't be anyone better for us to share this Valentine's Day with: she's witnessed everything that's been going on between the contestants - on-screen and off - and she has a busy lurve life of her own ...

Tashi: Do you have a boyfriend?
Phuti: Yes I do.

Tashi: Long-term, short-term, marriage potential or not?
Phuti: I don't know, at the moment.

Tashi: How long has it been?
Phuti: About five months.

Tashi: Can you tell us his name?
Phuti: No, I can't, I cant!

Tashi: What does he do?
Phuti: He's an executive at one of the major casinos.

Tashi: Being so involved with the show - what's been the most wow-factor for you? Of it all.
Phuti: I didn't expect people to fall in love in the short amount of time. Somebody does actually fall in love and I thought to myself: "Wow, it's so-so real."

They spoke to me backstage and they thought they were really being silly and said: "This is it". The girl was actually crying about it, going: "Oh my God, I can't believe this. Is this happening to me? Talk me out of this if I'm being silly."

It was so bizarre for me that somebody actually fell in love.

Tashi: Could you fall in love in a reality show?
Phuti: No, the thing is, there are other girls and I would never know if the guys are being genuine with me or not. If I'm sitting with him and he tells me that I'm great, he could be saying that to the next person so you never really know how he's really feeling.

And he's going to kiss someone else after he's kissed me and I don't like that at all. I want my guy all to myself. I never want drama like that ever. You could say, I get quite jealous when it comes to my man. I do.

If I fell in love with someone and saw something like that it would kill me because I'm a hopeless romantic. Also, on the show, they're all so open about how they feel about the guy.

Tashi: What's been your all-time, worst, most nightmare date in your whole life?
Phuti: Oh, I had a guy who took me out and he thought that because he paid the bill, he could definitely do whatever he wanted to do with me. I thought: "What the heck?!"

I was on the phone, talking, it was almost like our first date. He'd said: "I want to throw a birthday party for you, bring all your friends."

So he threw this party, all my friends were there, I was on the phone and he came over and grabbed my boob. At the party. Then, when I turned around and said: "What the heck are you doing?!" ... what killed me is that he didn't see anything wrong with it.

He was like, "What? I threw this party," and then he went on to tell me how he spent on the party!

Tashi: Don't. So how much did he spend?
Phuti: He spent flipping 10 grand. The way he went on it about it it was like he'd spent 200 000 rand on it. It was just dinner with 10 of my friends, we sat down, had dinner and that was that.

Tashi: You've never seen him again?
Phuti: I haven't.

Tashi: What's your take on who should pay for dinner?
Phuti: Shoo, whoever feels like paying for dinner. If I initiate dinner I pay for it. Whether I'm dating you, whether we've been dating for 10 years or five minutes, if I've asked, then I'm going to pay for dinner.

Tashi: What's been your best date, of all time, in your whole life?
Phuti: Oh! Shooo ... I had a guy - now I never do this - go to a guys house on a first date, never-ever. It's like in my rule-book, like never-ever do that, it's on my list. But with this guy, he invited me over to his house and I don't know why but it was just so easy for me to say "Yes".

I went  and it was the most amazing thing. He was casual, in his track pants and stuff and I was all dressed up and he made me feel like such a queen.

He cooked for me, I watched him cook - he didn't take long. You know people can take forever, but he didn't even look like he was trying to impress, he genuinely looked like he knew what he was doing.

He was like cutting the veggies like a chef, that so impressed me - I like little things like that.

I like touching people, I'm a very touchy person and because we connected, it was just so effortless. He kept touching me at the right moments, when I wanted to be touched, when I wanted to be held, when I was laughing.

He also kept on complimenting me, telling me how gorgeous I am, and I didn't think that I was that gorgeous. I knew he'd dated a lot of models and he kept saying: "You have no idea," and I was like: "Oooooooohhhh." He'd say something and I'd just melt.

Tashi: What happened to him?
Phuti: Thank you so much for that question, well - he turned out to be an arse. The thing is, that date, every date with him was like that.

Ya I agree with Phuti..how can compete for love publicly with other people..phela you would not be sure if the person you are falling is genuinely into you the way you are. These girls are just in it to play and so are the two guys but I wish them all the best in their newly found love.
