Sky News anchor Lukwesa Burak has joined eNCA - Africa Edition and joins co-host Chris Maroleng to present the daily news programme at 8PM.
Africa Edition delivers extensive coverage of Africa’s breaking stories with expert analysis and insight from prominent newsmakers, heads of state, and prolific figures. From in-depth analysis of the African economies to the latest sports stories, this daily bulletin keeps viewers engaged with up-to-the-minute current affairs and entertainment news.
Zambian-born Lukwesa Burak began her career as a weather forecaster for the BBC regions in the UK, before becoming lunchtime news anchor for BBC East Midlands. She also presented Sky News’ overnight programmes for seven years, which included Sky News on the Hour and Sky World News, catering for audiences in Africa, Asia and Europe.
Africa Edition is produced by eNCA. The programme has reporting teams in Johannesburg, Nairobi, Lagos and Harare, and a network of correspondents in every capital on the continent. The vision for Africa Edition is to deliver African news and stories as told by Africans, moving away from stereotypes and perceptions about the continent.
