M-Net has ordered a third course of MasterChef South Africa and starts the search for a new crop of cheftestants soon.
Auditions begin in Durban in February and wrap in Jozi in March.
Do you have what it takes to follow in the footsteps of previous winners Deena Naidoo and Kamini Pather? If so, read on! ...
Who can enter?
All amateur cooks.
You have to be older than 18 and a South African citizen who has not cooked professionally before.
What do you need to do?
The audition criteria are the same as they've been for the past two seasons: auditionees must prepare a cold dish for the judges to taste.
The process for subsequent audition rounds has been changed slightly. The process will be shared with you at the auditions should you make it through to the next round.
You can find more info about the next stage of the auditions in the FAQs on the
MasterChef SA site. (
NB: These FAQ's include the stipulations for the cold dish you need to take to the first audition so be sure to check them out.)
