ZIYADUMA EMZINI WEZINSIZWA

Hey guys I just read now that eMzini Wezintsizwa was going to come back on our screens but the head of drama Khethiwe Ngcobo decided for the comedy not to be recomissioned because she says “The channel no longer sees Emzini Wezinsizwa as fit for its current positioning. ” said Khethiwe Ngcobo to Sowetan. We all know that eMzini Wezintsizwa was very popular in the olden days when it had the original cast. I mean the very first actors of the drama abo Mofokeng, Chirwani, Tshawe, Mkhize Magubane, Nobarbwire etc. Everyone was enjoying it young and old would be glued to thier televisions screens every night to see what izintsizwa of room 8 block C will be up. It would crack the hell out of everyone watching especially the characters of Chirwani, Mofokeng and tat' uMkhize. The previous season of this comedy didn't have all the original actors of it, Chirwani and Mofokeng were not there, they were replaced by other actors. So the actors who were in the previous season still want the comedy to be back and they are complaining about the head of drama Khethiwe Ngcobo's decision. So guys lets do them a favour do you think this comedy should come back on our screen or not? Do you also agree with what the head of drama is saying?

come on bloggers lets hear it...

was not really a fan of the show but the character that made me chuckle a bit was  that guy who liked to say "as far as i'm concerned"....i wanted to hang myself wheneva Chilwane opened his mouth. But i must agree though that the show had a lot of followers, i was just not among the masses

so my vote is NO......dont bring it back

It is not relevant to SABC 1 viewers anymore....they can commission it for SABC 2 if it HAS to be brought back.

i never enjoyed it mna, 1st and 2nd and 3rd season...eintlik all seasons of this thing never appealed to me. the one time i managed to smile was when that drunk guy was on. can't remember his name but he was always drunk.

Khethiwe is right, it's not relevant to us anymore.

Emzini Wezinsiwa was great kudala. We have changed and having Zimbabweans with funny accents is not funny anyomore. There are people who would enjoy it though.

But guys our fathers used to enjoy this thing and now they have nothing to watch on TV except for the news. I am sure they would love to see this again. I mean if they can bring back a VERY OLD season of Mvelaphi why not bring back a NEW season of Emzini Wezintsizwa ke. I know we are not the audience now but there are people who would love to see this comedy back.

Cheesa, that's why i said if it has to be brought back, let them take it to SABC 2.

<<<<the one time i managed to smile was when that drunk guy was on. can't remember his name but he was always drunk>>>> Kwa kwa kwa kwa Sibeko was a true comedian!!!!!!!
As far as I"m concerned, I was always LMAO.....

Emzin used to be good with the origal cast. i will like to see it back on my telly, this is the only comedy that used to make me laugh with abo 'Mind your language' and Police acadamy' back in the days.

According to yesterday'Sowetan SABC head of drama said 'the channel no longer sees Emzini Wezinsizwa as fit for its current positioning'
what is SABC's current positioning kanti, Is wasting money on buying tv programs that were never used on tv their current positioning?

is the 1,8 million viewers had on the last series not a proof enough that the man on the street loved in??

here is the link guys

I dont think Emzini can be taken to SABC 2 because that it is a sotho channel and Emzini is a Nguni sitcom

Uyabona ke BS no Harambe...

hayi ke maybe its because my father doesn't watch that its the news all the way from 5:30 to 20:00pm when he wents to bad.

Katlegom I also enjoyed it when it was still the original cast the new guys are boring but ke they must return it for those who will enjoy it. I mean really ke if it got 1.8m viewers when it was a REPEAT mind you REPEAT why not return a NEW season. I mean really now Khethiwe those madalas want some money think about that too.
