OpenView HD launches Christian channel, Relevant TV
In its efforts to diversify content offering, free-to- air digital satellite television platform, OpenView HD will be launching a new Christian TV channel, Relevant TV. The non-denominational, multi-national Christian lifestyle television channel will be available on channel 253 of the OpenView HD bouquet from the 15
th of September 2014.
“Relevant TV is a Christian channel with a difference. It will bring great content which will motivate and uplift the viewer. We strive to bring quality to the Christian TV market that has not yet been experienced in South Africa,” says Joshua McCauley, founder of Relevant TV.
Relevant TV will be targeting an audience of predominantly young adults, as well as covering all spectrum of Christianity. The channel will be partnering with numerous churches in Africa to bring quality local shows that will balance their complement of international content. The channel’s content offering includes kids programs, music, movies, live events, talk shows and regular weekly inspirational shows.
