Renewed!
BET has ordered a second season of acting reality show Top Actor, with a Naija and Kenyan twist.
The first season, which was called Top Actor SA, aired between April and June this year and was exclusively for South Africans. The show changes name for Season 2 - to Top Actor Africa - and includes opportunities for Nigerian and Kenyan acting hopefuls.
Auditions will be happening in Joziburg, Lagos and Nairobi in October, with an online audition process for those who can't make the castings.
In case you aren't familiar with the format... the series is a reality competition in which 12 up-and-coming actors compete in weekly acting challenges to win a career-launching prize package and the Top Actor title.
The first season was won by drama student Altovise Lawrence, who recently won an extra prize when she landed a gig hosting BET's new celebertainment show BET Buzz.
The prize for Season 2 includes US$10,000 (plus/minus R135,000) and a one year contract with an international acting agency.
