As we mentioned in the
Top Actor Casting Call, BET has asked that all auditionees have a valid passport for the upcoming auditions.
We've been receiving loads of queries about it so we've been in touch with the channel to find out why you need to have one and how important it is.
Turns out it's very important because of the turnaround time between the auditions and the filming of the show. The final auditions end on 16 October and the show starts filming on 23 October, which means that you'll need to have a passport by then and it's only a few weeks away.
Word from the channel is that the show will be filming in various locations across the continent so it's vital that all contestants have valid passports to do the show.
It's
not an ideal situation unfortunately. It's a factor that the show should have considered much more carefully - they should have held the auditions months in advance to give successful auditionees time to organise.
Our advice to you if you think you can organise a passport in time for the auditions: flirt with someone in the application que to ease the pain.
