The South African Film and Television Awards turn 10 this year and the National Film and Video Foundation (the custodians of the awards) have created a new look and feel for the event to mark the occasion.
This is the commemorative logo:
The strong emphasis on gold is both a tribute to the signature trophy of the awards, the Golden Horn, and it's a celebration of glamour.
According to Zama Mkosi, CEO of the NFVF: "With gold we’re celebrating the glamour and the solid hard work that thrives in this industry every day."
The theme for the ceremony has been worked into the logo with the word imagine. It's been chosen to reflect creativity, inspiration and the imagination that's at the heart of creating stories and characters and bringing them to life on TV.
In a trippy hook-up of time, TVSA also turns 10 this year. Yip! We celebrate 10 years on 2 May this year which means we've experienced and reported on the TV industry with the SAFTAs each step of the way.
Our SAFTAs Show Page is a vast resource as a result. It boasts details about every ceremony since the start, with all of the nominees and winners over the years.
