SA's Got Talent: Tats out, Tol A$$ Mo in

When SA's Got Talent returns later this year it's going to be without the show's signature host Tats Nkonzo who's hosted the show for four seasons, since it moved from SABC2 to e.tv in 2012.

e.tv has announced that Tats is off the show and that Tol A$$ Mo will be hosting instead because Tats "will be pursuing other opportunities more in line with stand-up comedy".

This according to a statement from e.tv in response to a query by TVSA asking why he isn't hosting anymore. The original release announcing the news didn't give any explanation as to why.

As you can see, the statement doesn't clarify whether Tats left of his own accord or whether the channel suddenly decided they wanted someone else. Here's what Tats has to say about it in a Tweet posted last night:

The news comes two days before the first auditions for Season 7 which start in Cape Town on Saturday (30 April). For more about the auditions, please see: SA's Got Talent calls for 2016 acts.

I agree 100% with you, XFactor's production was par excellence with the international versions. It was amazing. SAGT is so cheap like everything on etv. They are stupid to let Tats go.
