While the SABC decreases its international content, e.tv has gone on an opposite mission by increasing the quality of the channel's international offering.
e.tv starts a blitz of Disney this month following the signing of an agreement between the two networks. The deal gives e.tv the exclusive free-to-air programming rights to Disney shows and movies.
Disney's Marvel movies will air on Sunday night's through June and Disney's comedy-drama Devious Maids premieres this Monday, 13 June at 20h30.
The series is created by Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry with Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria as executive producer. It follows the antics of a close-knit group of maids who are bonded together by their jobs, life struggles and the melodramatic upstairs-downstairs universe of their employers.
The five maids are played by well known TV actresses, namely Ugly Betty's Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez (Entourage), Roselyn Sánchez (Without a Trace), Edy Ganem (Livin' Loud) and Judy Reyes of Scrubs.
