M-Net has secured the rights to an exclusive interview by ITV with Oscar Pistorius and will be broadcasting it immediately after the interview airs for the first time in the UK on Friday night (24 June).
It's going to air on M-Net and M-Net City as a Carte Blanche special and will go to DStv Catch-Up after its first broadcast. It will also be rescreened on SuperSport for those who miss it on the Friday night.
The interview is the first interview with Oscar after Reeva's death and it's conducted by award winning investigative journalist Mark Williams-Thomas. He speaks to Oscar at his uncle Arnold Pistorius’ home in Waterkloof, Pretoria, while he was under house arrest waiting for his sentencing hearing.
The interview includes Oscar’s account of what happened on the night he shot Reeva. He gives details of their relationship and his previous use of firearms. Mark Williams-Thomas also probes into the details of the prosecution case which resulted in his conviction.
Coverage starts on M-Net and M-Net City at 22h55 with a Carte Blanche panel discussion, which will lead into the interview. The exact start time of this hasn't been confirmed yet - we'll keep you posted when it is.
