Dimpho and Dikeledi reconcile after their spat. Credo discovers Cat throwing the ransom money into his pool. Zakes refuses to let Emily or Jill help him. Moloi pleads with Zakes to open himself up to the possibility of redemption and healing before it is too late.

Emily realises Zakes is gone. May attacks Cat, but Cat manages to untie herself and escape. Ronald wants to call the police, but the family stops him.

The family realises Cat has escaped. Ruth and Ronald receive bad news about Olwethu. Zakes starts searching for a job.

Cat and May have a bloody fist fight. Olwethu tells Big Boy that she is willing to go back to the homestead. Dimpho warns Lucky to stay away from her. Cat meets her demise.

Olwethu rejects both May and Credo. Zakes is rejected from a job because of his criminal record. Credo and Gavin dispose of a body. Ruth tries to apologize to Dikeledi but she doesn't want to hear any of it. Lucky has a silent moment of understanding with Dimpho.

Zakes pays Titus a visit and tries to make peace with him. Lucky takes Dimpho to the gold operation shack. Olwethu informs the family that May will not leave with them to the homestead.

Butler tasks Gavin and Jill with getting the drugs out of the precinct. Gavin’s daughter arrives with a surprising request. Lucky gets mugged and Parrish whispers seeds of doubt into Zakes’ ear.
