It started with online auditions and now it's been extended to the real world.

SABC1's weekend breakfast show Mzansi Insider is on a search for a presenter to co-host the show with current presenter Rorisang Thandekiso.

The search started with online auditions - which we told you about here - and now the show is extending the search to five cities, starting this Saturday (26 August).

First up: what's happening with the online auditions?

We've asked SABC1 and received this answer from the channel's brand manager Phuthi Moloto:

“Video Uploads: We have viewed all the digital media submission to select people we feel are worthy of getting an express ticket to move straight to the judging phase without going through the pre-election phase. All the people that have made it have been notified and will attend the auditions at any of the venues promoted.”

Audition dates and venues

The real world auditions start in Limpopo this Saturday (26 August) and run through September. These are the deets:

Polokwane, Limpopo

Saturday, 26 August 2017
Venue: SABC Studios (2 Hospital St, Polokwane Ext 46)

why are the auditions coming to cape town?

Hi Vuyokazi - Cape Town often loses out when it comes to auditions unfortunately. This is why Nkululeko's so good for Capetonians.. the more productions filmed in the Mother City, the better the situation becomes for the future.

A heads-up that we've updated the Mzansi Insider deets with the venue for Saturday's East London audition.
