If you've got the chops to be funny and want to get your point of view onto TV, this could be your ticket...
kykNET has launched a new competition called GRAPKAS in search of talented new comedy writers.
This from the channel:
Do you have an idea for a TV sitcom? Can you see and hear those characters that you know audiences will relate to? Impossible situations with hilarious results?
Now is your chance to propose an idea and it might be developed further by kykNET.
The aim of GRAPKAS: To find new Afrikaans comedy writers and to give these writers a chance to work with mentors and experts to develop their ideas. The end result might just be a TV sitcom with you in the writers’ chair.
How to enter
You can enter your concept online here:
GRAPKAS entries
Each entry must consist of a tag line - in other words a short description of your sitcom - as well as a 500 word description of the concept.
What to expect
20 concepts will be chosen from all of the entries and each will be produced into a text of 24 minutes.
Four of these concepts will be made into a pilot episode and then any, or all, of them might be signed to become a new sitcom on kykNET.
The closing date for entries:
15 July 2018
We hope to see your imagination come to life on TV.
