Star Life's new series Evil Affairs (Shaitani Rasmein) premieres on Monday 8 April at 22h00, replacing
Divya-Drishti which ends the day before.
It's described as a supernatural horror and centres round Nikki, an orphan who must stand up to wickedness when she falls in love with Piyush, prince of the supposedly esteemed Gehlot Family of Bhurangarh.
What they both don't know is that his "esteemed" family are hiding darrrrk secrets - the type you find under a bed in the middle of a hellish night.
Nikki and Puyish get married, return to Bhurangarh together and unravel the disturbing truth that Piyush's family has made a pact with the demon Maalik. Nice. Just the sort of in-laws you want. NOT.
But wait, there's more... Nikki finds herself entangled in performing sinister rituals to consummate her marriage... which sounds all kinds of wrong and makes our skin crawl with horror questions such as: How many people are watching? And who?!
This is how Star Bharat (who produced it) describe it:
“Shaitani Rasmein is a groundbreaking venture into the supernatural realm, promising an unparalleled experience in the horror genre. With its distinctive visual narrative, it charts unexplored territories of fear, delivering a wedding fantasy drama that defies convention."
Yip, scares us.
The role of Nikki is played by Naqiyah Haji and Vibhav Roy portrays Puyish.
TV newcomer Shefali Jariwala plays Kapalika, seen in the first pic opposite Nikki.
