Bio
Debra McGrath is a Canadian actress and comedienne best known for her starring role as Mayor Ann Popowicz in the television sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie, from 2007-2012.
McGrath has many television, feature film and stage credits to her name. In addition to creating, writing and starring in Getting Along Famously, she has appeared in such television shows as This Is Wonderland, Burnt Toast, Paradise Falls, Wind At My Back, Due South, Robocop and Street Legal.
She also played a lead in the pilot Single White Spenny.
Her feature film credits include The Real Blonde, Termini Station, One Magic Christmas and Expecting, for which she was nominated for an ACTRA award.
Debra is also a Second City alum and an accomplished stage actor who has appeared in many theatre productions, several of which were nominated for Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
Her sketch troupe, Women Fully Clothed, has toured Canada and appeared at the Edinburgh festival.
She is married to fellow actor and comedian Colin Mochrie, of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Drew Carey Show fame.
