Season 1

Constable Benton Fraser, a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman travelled to Chicago looking for his father's killers. On the completion of the investigation he remained in Chicago, attached to the Canadian consulate.

Despite not being employed to do so, Fraser often finds himself involved in Chicago police investgations, teaming up with Detective Ray Vecchio, who is the complete opposite to Fraser's straight-laced character.
