Wian Taljaard is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Dirkie in the kykNET sitcom Lui Maar Op, Belinda. It was his first starring role in television.
His first credited screen role was the guest role of Luke on the kykNET drama series Die Boekklub (The Book Club), appearing in Season 2, Episode 7, which aired on 22 August, 2017.
He next had a guest starring role in an episode of the kykNET legal drama series Fynskrif (Fineprint), appearing in Season 1, Episode 11 (which aired on 18 September, 2018).
In 2019 he was nominated for a Kanna award in the category Best Upcoming Artist at the KKNK Festival for his role int he stage play Jakkals en Wolf Onbeperk.
Later that year he landed his first starring role in television in the kykNET sitcom Lui Maar Op, Belinda (Give it a Rest, Belinda), playing Dirkie - the rather woeful and inept security chief at a general dealer in George.
The series premiered on Monday 8 July, 2019.
The following year he had a guest starring role in the kykNET drama series Kompleks, appearing in Season 1, Episode 6 (which aired on 27 October, 2020).
