Kari Matchett is a Canadian actress best known for her starring role as Joan Campbell, head of the CIA's Domestic Protection Division Domestic Protection Division, in the action television series Covert Affairs.

She is also known for her television roles as Mariel Underlay in Invasion (2005-2006) and as Lisa Miller in 24 (2007); and for her role as Kate Filmore in the cult science fiction movie Cube 2: Hypercube.

Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Kari Matchett moved to Montreal in her late teens to study at Canada's National Theatre School.

In 2001, she landed a guest appearance on the TV series Blue Murder - for which she won a Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role in a Dramatic Series - and was subsequently invited to join the show as one of four leads.

She was also nominated for Gemini Awards for her performances TV movie Power Play (1998) and the TV series A Colder Kind of Death (2001).

Matchett had recurring roles on Leverage alongside Timothy Hutton and the series Crash for Starz Network from Lionsgate Television, the latter of which was based on the Academy Award-winning movie of the same name. She portrayed Jules, the CEO of a music company and daughter to Dennis Hopper's character.

After breaking onto the scene in ABC's Invasion opposite William Fichtner, Matchett went on to star in season six of 24 with Keifer Sutherland and Powers Boothe.

She then recurred on NBC's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip with Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford followed by a starring role opposite Treat Williams in the TNT original series, Heartland.

Matchett is also well-known to audiences for her recurring role as Dr. Skye Wexler on John Wells' long-running drama series, ER. On the big screen Matchett can be seen in Tree of Life. Directed by Terrence Malick, she co-stars opposite Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.

Other television credits include Criminal Minds, The Cleaner opposite Benjamin Bratt, Ugly Betty, The Philanthropist and Shark starring James Woods. She was also previously seen in The Hallmark Channel telefilm, The National Tree with Andrew McCarthy.

A native of Lethbridge, Alberta Canada, Matchett now resides in Los Angeles.
