Survivorman is a Canadian reality television created by and starring filmmaker and survival expert Les Stroud, who must use his survival skills to manage for seven days by himself in various remote locales with little or no food, water, or equipment.
The series premiered in Canada on OLN on 24 November, 2004. A third season is scheduled for 2009.
Survivorman premiered in South Africa on DStv's The Discovery Channel on Thursday 16 October 2008, at 17h30. There are 10 hour-long episodes in the first season.
