Tempy Pushas is a South African television drama series created and produced by Endemol South Africa, set against the backdrop of the fashion world and juxtaposed with the vibrant township culture, in which three childhood friends are thrust into the world of the haves and have nots as the multi-million rand fashion market lies waiting for the taking.

The series focuses on two giant fashion houses, two families - a poisonous saga of greed, revenge and buried pasts, as the multi-million rand fashion market lies waiting... for the taking.

Tempy Pushas brings to light the grit and reality behind the fashion industry – going beyond the just the luxury, celebrity and style associated with the industry.

Exposing the everyday trials and tribulations and exploring various themes including realising potential, exploitation, loyalty, complexity of relationships and love.

Season 1 stars Sdumo Mtshali as Kuti Daniels, Pallance Dladla as X, Akhumzi Jezile as Ngulube, Camilla Waldman as Alexia Daniels, Motshabi Tyelele as Tshidi Bogatsu, Paballo Moganedi as Lerato Bogatsu, Mara Louw as Girlie, Mothusi Magano as Dot Org, Khulu Skenjana as Zenzele Zembe, Tumie Ngumla as Princess Zembe, Sharon Spiegel-Wagner as Justine Duval and Precious Makgaretsa as Dineo aka Neyo.

Season 2 stars S'dumo Mtshali as Kuti Daniels, Pallance Dladla as X, Akhumzi Jezile as Ngulube, Camilla Waldman as Alexia Daniels, Pabee Moganedi as Lerato Bogatsu, Marah Louw as Girlie, Mothusi Magano as Dot Org, Khulu Skenjana as Zenzele Zembe, Tumie Ngumla as Princess Zembe, Lillian Tshabalala as KG, Putla Sehlapelo as Skywalker, Thishiwe Ziqubu as Gemini and Mmabatho Montsho as Noxy.

Kuti and X were recast for Season 3 with Fezile Makhanya and Luzuko Nteleko respectively. Akhumzi Jezile returned as Ngulube, as did Tumie Ngumla as Princess, Marah Louw as MaGirlie and Camilla Waldman as Alex.

New cast added in Season 3 include Sibulele Gcilitshana as Dot.Kom and Lerato Mvelase as Qaqa.

The working title of the show was Hustle & Mawaza, and before that Fashionistas. The title music was performed by ProVerb and KABOMO in Season 1 and was written and performed by The Rudimentals in Season 2. The theme music composer for Season 3 was ZCH.

The creative producer and series director for Season 1 was Amanda Lane. She was replaced as series director for Season 2 by Vincent Moloi. The series director in Season 3 was Que Ntuli.
