eHostela is a South African anthology drama series with different faces and new stories within the same universe each season, with characters and stories revolving around hitmen living in hostels.
The first two seasons are set in KwaMashu and revolve around two brothers who - along with their father - run a powerful and secret organisation in a worker's hostel.
In the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, in KwaMashu township, there is a worker's hostel called Delakufa and within its walls is a secret which is spoken of only in whispers: The Brotherhood; a secret society of inkabi (hitmen).
This Brotherhood has operated in Delakufa hostel for years, masked in mystery and hearsay.
The Brotherhood is led by the powerful Mancinza, with his son Jama and his adopted son Mndeni.
This is the story of these two sons, whose relation is bound in secrets and sealed by guns.
But can family stick together when they are not tied by blood, and what is the price of loyalty when you long to follow your own heart?
Season 3 is set in Bergville and stars Siyabonga Thwala and Gcina Nkosi as his arch-nemesis.
Season 3 follows KaMabizela, a widow out for vengeance, as she takes on ruthless gangster Ngwadi, the man who betrayed and murdered her beloved husband, Mdletshe.
One of the respected men in the KwaDukuza hostel, Mdletshe runs the criminal underworld with his friend Ngwadi, but when the two have a fallout over Mdletshe's plans to stop all criminal work at the hostel, Ngwadi takes extreme measures to retain power.
KaMabizela's bloody quest for justice puts a target on her and her family's backs.
Will KaMabizela get Ngwadi to pay back everything he owes her family, or will he get away with murder?
