Season 7
Rescue Me is an American television drama series created by Denis Leary and Peter Tolan which focuses on the professional and personal lives of New York City firefighters after the trauma of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The series aired in the USA on FX from 21 July, 2004 to 7 September, 2011. There are 93 hour-long episodes in seven seasons.
Rescue Me originally premiered in South Africa on M-Net on Thursday 3 February, 2005. It moved to DStv's actionX channel (now called M-Net Action) for Seasons 3-5 and to M-Net Series for the final two seasons (6 and 7).
The series later began airing on DStv's Sony Entertainment Television (SONY) channel in November 2007 and on StarSat's (formerly TopTV) Fox FX channel in September 2011. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 7 has not yet aired in South Africa.
Season 7
In the aftermath of Damien's on-the-job accident, Tommy, Sheila, and the guys of the 62 truck have done their best to work through the tragedy and get on with their lives.
Things have slowed down for Tommy, both at home and on the job, until a news reporter decides to feature Jimmy as the subject of her 9/11 retrospective.
When she delves too deep into the personal lives of her subjects and suggests fault within the FDNY, Tommy turns on her and soon finds himself jobless.
With Tommy absent, Lou at less than hundred percent, and Feinberg deteriorating fast, Franco seizes the opportunity to take on a leadership role. Under Franco, the house sees order unlike ever before. But Franco's inexperience leading the troops into battle proves to be treacherous.
Love is in the air as Black Shawn and Colleen plan the mother of all weddings. With the help of Mike and Garrity the event goes down as one for the ages in the debaucherous tradition of the Gavins.
Tommy and Janet see the event as an opportunity to renew their vows, Garrity realizes he has found true love, Mickey and Sheila rekindle their romance, Teddy engages an unlikely partner, and Needles finds his true calling.
When the crew ride to a suspicious five alarm fire their skills as firefighters and commitment to one another are put to the test. In the aftermath, the guys are forced to re-examine what it means to be a crew.
Rescue Me stars Denis Leary, John Scurti, Daniel Sunjata, Steven Pasquale, Michael Lombardi, Callie Thorne, Andrea Roth and Adam Ferrara.
The series was created by Leary and Peter Tolan, who along with Jim Serpico serve as executive producers. The show is produced by Apostle, Dreamworks Television and The Cloudland Company in association with Sony Pictures Television.
