Will Chase is an American actor who works primarily in musical theatre best known to television audiences for his recurring role as Michael Swift in the musical drama series Smash, from 2012-2013.
Chase was born in Frankfort, Kentucky in 1970. He studied percussion and conducting at The Oberlin Conservatory, graduating in 1992.
His acting career began in Chicago, appearing in several original productions, culminating in three Jeff Nominations for Best Actor.
He has starred on Broadway in several productions, among them Rent, Miss Saigon, The Full Monty, Aida, Lennon, High Fidelity, The Story of My Life and Billy Elliot. He has guest-starred on many television shows, most notably as Pat Mahoney on Rescue Me.
He is father to Daisy and Gracie Chase.
